When in the night you cannot see your way, There is a Guiding Star within your heart. Follow Her, you will not go astray, With Her you'll never miss your destined part.
On Christmas night, across the darkened sky, There suddenly blazed forth a brilliant star And to the world proclaimed the Manger nigh, Where Christ Himself was manifest afar.
And only wise men followed where it led, To bow before the Lord Christ crucified! And you go too—this thought fills me instead, That in your heart this star will be your guide!
Go follow Her, and I will go with you, We'll call our friends and loved ones to come near. For Jesus is the Morning Star so true, He is the Light, the Truth, salvation clear!
The path is hard, but He will light the way, And if we do not weary—He will bless. To all our questions He will answer, say, And show us Heaven's radiant loveliness!
And we shall bow... and worship ever more, And joy eternal in the Heavens find! Come walk with me, there's nothing to deplore, We'll live within His holy hands, resigned!
O, these are hands that suffered such great pain, To give us peace and hope forevermore! While we still live within this mortal frame, We'll step behind the Star, forever more!
