Hennadii ProsiankoPastor and chaplain, author of “I Was There. The Diary of a Chaplain”. Since 2015 he has served in the front-line towns and villages of Donbas: humanitarian aid, Christian literature, conversation and prayer with civilians and soldiers.
About the book
“I Was There” is the diary of chaplain Hennadii Prosianko. The book describes the stories that took place directly with us and the people whom we served — the peaceful civilians of the front-line towns and villages of Donbas, as well as the soldiers on the front line. The events started at the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2014 and cover the time before the full-scale war unleashed by Russia on the 24th of February 2022. There are a lot of photos in the book, which we could make during our ministry; they will help the reader better understand the events described in it. But first of all, “I Was There” is a book not about us, but primarily about the Lord Jesus Christ, Who led us in this service, protected and inspired us, and gave the joy of being there, where He was Himself.

Daniel PanasenkoDaniel Panasenko is a Ukrainian-American traveler, blogger, and missionary whose life story spans continents and cultures. Born in Dnipro and raised in the United States, he began participating in international mission trips from a young age, serving children and communities around the world. In 2012 he embarked on a remarkable two-month journey through Russia, Mongolia, Israel, Ukraine, and the United States, documenting both the challenges and joys of global travel. His adventures ranged from extreme off-road expeditions in Mongolia to leading youth camps in Israel and reconnecting with his family roots in Ukraine. After returning to America, he continued exploring cultural differences and personal growth shaped by his travels. In 2012–2013 Daniel lived in Tokyo as an intern with the LEX / Hippo Family Club, working in schools, giving presentations on multilingualism, and experiencing Japanese culture firsthand. His year in Japan included everything from mountain hikes and traditional ceremonies to daily immersion in a new language and lifestyle. Through his vivid storytelling, Daniel transforms his journey into a celebration of faith, humor, discovery, and the beauty of the world.

About the author
George DavidiukGeorge Davidyuk was born in New Jersey to Ukrainian immigrants. In 1970, at the age of sixteen, he went on his first missionary journey and has since traveled extensively throughout the former Soviet Union, visiting over a hundred times since 1973. He has been instrumental in planting many churches in both the former Soviet Union and the United States. He ministers through music and preaching the Good News at large concerts—in stadiums, parks, theaters, and concert halls—sharing his deep faith in God.
