I do not seek support from mortal men Nor do I crave the world's approval's glow, But with my whole soul's strength I strive, and when I'm moved to heed God's sacred will below.
It's impossible to please them all— One will approve while others judge and blame… Each tells me how I ought to heed the call, What life will bring, and what will never came.
O Lord! I'm weary now of all this strife… I'll open up Thy Word at early dawn… Thou art the bread essential to my life, I need Thee every moment, every morn!
Fill Thou my heart with Thy eternal truth, With boundless love for all my fellow men, Lord, all my soul toward Thee stretches forth, In Thee alone my heart finds peace again.
I seek my strength in Thee alone above, For men so often err and go astray. O keep me safe upon this earthly path, That I may faithful unto Thee stay!
