I Wish to Serve You

Liubov Berdysheva

I wish to serve You, My All-Benevolent! Devote myself completely To my earthly path!

Pour into my soul Your fire, That I may burn, By Your Word—give me life anew, So that to You alone

My heart may lift its praise On every road I take, And faithful before You In all my deeds remain!

What happiness: I rest in Your hands!

What happiness: I rest in Your hands! Before You—all my wandering unfolds… In complete dependence upon You My life flows on… And this—is rapture!

What happiness: You are always with me! Though the path is harsh—I have no fear! I walk the trail that You have blazed, I know on Whom to lean my trust!

I thank my God above For all the blessings given me! In complete dependence upon Him My life flows on… And this—is rapture!
