In the Gentle Whisper of the Wind
In the gentle whisper of the wind I hear Thy voice call out to me… Like light through darkness, bright and thin— Thy heavenly script I come to see…
And in the valley of my pain A tender voice rings clear and true: "I am with thee in thy strain, I'll hold thee up the whole way through!
I'll heal the wounds that mar thy soul… The pain shall fade… shall pass away… Thy heart cries out: Hosanna whole! It sings to Me again this day."
Away with sorrow from my heart!— All leads to good along the way! In the gentle whisper of the wind He speaks to me, come what may.
Peace now reigns within my soul. My pain has stilled and passed me by… My spirit bows to its control: God… Thy will be done on high!

Grant me faithfulness in all, my precious Lord! Rekindle in my heart love's burning flame! Help me to follow Thee with one accord! Though thorns and trials mark my earthly frame…

Hold Fast to Jesus!
When storm clouds gather dark across the sky And life becomes a burden, heavy, long, When all our efforts fail, and nothing's nigh, There's one way: Jesus—hold to Him be strong!
If thou art worn and weary from the fight, If all thy strength and courage now have fled And doubts creep in to dim thy inner light, One path remains: to Jesus turn and tread!
If waves of boundless sorrow swamp thy boat, And hurl thee down into despair's abyss, Look unto Jesus—let thy hope float— In Him alone through life's dark storms find bliss!
With prayer I rush to Thee, O Lord, my God! My eyes and heart I lift to Thee above! Help me to walk my appointed road Without complaint, in faith and trust and love, Knowing: Thou never wilt abandon me in need!
