In You alone my soul finds peace, And in my heart—calm midst the storm; The trials from Your hand, no less, I take, and never once transform…
You know far better: How… And When… And what To send to me… Or to deny… And You are ready to support, Surrounding me with care most high.
Sometimes a hurricane will rage, And flood my boat on troubled seas, But in Your Father's loving cage You hold me fast with such great ease.
Strengthen my unsteady pace, Help me in You to trust and stay! Though minutes hurry toward their grace,— I rest in God's right hand always!
