About the book

New Year! Oh, how tired we are of the dreary and tragic everyday life of bygone times. Oh, how great it was in the days of distant childhood! But now it’s not the same! We live in the past, trying to look into the future. Everything is familiar in the past, every corner has been explored, experienced, lived through. The future beckons, frightens and, regardless of our will, approaches inexorably, drawing us into a new reality. I would ask her questions, but she couldn't tell me much because she didn't have a Bible. Those were the days of atheism. One day, after answering a teacher's question about the spring holidays, I talked about Easter. The whole class ridiculed me. I became a believer at a young age. I worked as a teacher organizer. Vitaliy Polozov

The writer Vitaly Polozov is a Christian and the author of many books about Christians. Based on real events, his novels depict the era of persecution that took place in the 20th century in the former Soviet Union. Although the books recount the persecution of Christians in this atheistic country, they, like all works by a Christian writer, reflect the victory of light over darkness, of truth over lies, and of good over evil. And in this struggle, man’s sole hope in the Lord Jesus Christ and His transforming power is affirmed.
