Leonty Mikhailovich Zhidkov was born in Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol Krai. He attended school there. In 1974, he married and moved with his family to Pyatigorsk. Since 1988, he has lived in Ulyanovsk, on the Volga River. He worked for a long time at the AVIASTAR aircraft manufacturing plant, in the signaling and communications shop. He has been retired for over ten years. He graduated from the Simbirsk Missionary College with a Bachelor's degree in Missiology. He frequently preaches in local evangelical churches. A participant in the Lermontov Poetry Festivals, his poems have been published in almanacs and collective collections. He began writing poetry early, at the age of 13 or 14. His first collection was published only in 2013 in Germany, the next one five years later in Ukraine, and a third book is currently in preparation.
