The Seasons

Aleksei Dunaev

When rain of parting weeps so slight, And in your eyes hope lingers still, Do not despair—this means the light Of autumn glows within your will.

Wander not through fate's dark maze— Pain and hatred twist and turn. Trust in God's eternal grace, Though storms within your spirit burn.

All hardships can be overcome, If faith does not abandon you. How sweet, when trials have come and gone, To hear joy's drops fall fresh and true!

To pardon all—the soul's brave art, Made warm by mercy's gentle hand. Life's happiness within the heart— God's promised, long-awaited land!
