Bear Peace

Nadezhda Koriaka

The soul within this world does ache: Earthquakes, hunger, terror's call, Yet here we dwell, for heaven's sake— Our citizenship transcends it all.

We are justified through faith in sacrifice, In Jesus Christ, the Lord most high— Let not the world's peace lose its price, Let not our praises e'er run dry!

We're given words of reconciliation— The Father bade us bear this word, We shall not cease our sacred station, For lo, the end time shall be heard!

Hold peace among yourselves alway, And holiness—so God decreed. The one who'll see the Lord's display Is one who keeps both word and deed.

In prayer we'll be without ceasing, That peace we'll make both here and far. God of peace, our souls releasing, In Christ will guard us where we are.
