The Greatness of the Lord
AUTHOR: Nadezhda Koryaka
My Lord and God, how great You are! And yet my tongue falls short by far To praise Your holiness on high, Creator of the earth and sky!
You know each soul by perfect name! You fashion all, transform the same, In every human work You see, And crown us with Your clemency.
In Christ Jesus life is given, Human hearts by You are riven, To the Savior all are driven, And Your mysteries are shriven.
The Holy Spirit You pour down, With gifts from heaven You do crown, The fruit of Spirit You make grow, In saints Your image You bestow.
The proud in heart You cast below— The humble spirit You make grow, Their lips with songs of praise You fill, Your majesty You show at will.
The Gospel's tidings You proclaim, All people to Yourself You claim, In love and faith You root them fast, Into Your Kingdom turn them vast.
Upon Your throne forever throne, With the Lamb Your glory shown, The Universe's praise You own, And all creation You have blessed alone!
