I Was There. The Diary of a Chaplain

“I Was There” is the diary of chaplain Hennadii Prosianko. The book describes the stories that took place directly with us and the people whom we served — the peaceful civilians of the front-line towns and villages of Donbas, as well as the soldiers on the front line. The events started at the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2014 and cover the time before the full-scale war unleashed by Russia on the 24th of February 2022. There are a lot of photos in the book, which we could make during our ministry; they will help the reader better understand the events described in it. But first of all, “I Was There” is a book not about us, but primarily about the Lord Jesus Christ, Who led us in this service, protected and inspired us, and gave the joy of being there, where He was Himself.
