By Your Mercy

Nadezhda Khrapova

When I awake at dawn's first light, My soul and lips speak but one refrain: For that I still live in this world, To You, my Lord, be glory and praise!

By Your mercy I have not perished, Though many sick ones surround me still! You guard me from all afflictions, And sickness passes by my home.

I greet with joy this present day— It rests in God's protecting hands, And His grace and mercies eternal Keep me safe on life's winding ways.

In Your hand lies tomorrow's mystery, The future hidden in the dark, But long ago I came to know That peace and joy are found in Christ alone.

I am content in every season, In dangers He gives strength and guide Through howling storms and tempests wild— My Good Shepherd, my loving Lord.
