From the Roadside to the Heavens

Vladymyr Ulchenkov

Men prophesied my death to me, I stood prepared to meet my end, But God from that obscurity Raised me to heaven—heaven's friend!

Behold now with your own eyes here— I am ascending toward the light. Men prophesied my death severe, But God gave life, and life outright!

God, beyond all other measure, performs his miracles divine: to student and to working treasure the heavens open and align!

Christ is the Father's guarantee of salvation's sacred plan! Rise up now from obscurity— that roadside is no place for man!

The Lord's a firm and sure foundation! The Lord preserves his people's call! The gutter is abandoned station, a shelter now no more at all.

O where are you, you midnight voices, companions, brothers, friends so true? From roadside to the heavens' voices a pathway now runs clear for you!
