Psalm 69

Konstantyn Honcharov

1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. For Remembrance. Make haste, O God, to save my soul with speed, O Lord, come quickly in my time of need.

2. Let those who seek to take my life be shamed, Let those who wish my evil be defamed, Turned backward, covered with disgrace and scorn!

3. Let those who mock me and reproach my name, Who cry "Rejoice!" turn back in bitter shame.

4. But let all those who seek Thee find their cheer, Let all who love Thy saving grace appear, And let them say forever: "Great is God on high!"

5. Yet I am poor and destitute and low; O God, come quickly—heal my every woe! Thou art my helper and my sure release; O Lord, do not delay, but grant me peace.
