The Lord's Prayer – Gospel of Matthew 6:9-13

Konstantyn Honcharov

9. Pray then like this: Our Father, who art in the heavens! Hallowed be Thy name;

10. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;

11. Give us this day our daily bread;

12. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors;

13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

*What is the Gospel?*

The Greek word "euangelion" translates as "good news." When Jesus Christ began His public ministry, His first words were: "Repent and believe in the Gospel." For clarity and remembrance, we have depicted the Gospel in a diagrammatic drawing with supporting scriptural texts. Below we provide a description of this image.
