Thy Will Be Done
Thy will, my Lord, let it be fulfilled In the lives of all living people. The sea rages with fierce and violent waves, Resisting Thy will.
By Thy will the Universe exists, Thou gavest the beginning of life, That Thy will, in all its perfection, Every living thing would fulfill.
Thy will, like a lighthouse shining bright, Can show us the way, Yet sinful man forever delays In fulfilling it.
Reveal to us Thy hidden will, We desire to know Thy way, That fulfilling it, unchanging and true, We sail toward our native shores.
Let Thy perfect will be done In the Church, in the assembly of saints, Yet our mortal flesh grows fearful Of Thy pure and living words.
In our dwellings help us to keep Only Thy desire, That living together as a family We may grow in spirit.
In our thoughts and words let it be reflected— Thy holy will, All who agree with Thy will Understand the meaning of existence.
In our aspirations, in our decisions Show us Thy will, That we may walk in the right direction And avoid the mirages.
O, help us to accomplish this task: To fulfill Thy will. And, like iron in fire, be transformed, Keeping our faithfulness to Thee.
