I Plunge Entirely Into Your Love

Olesya Perepelkina

I plunge entirely into Your love, Only in it do I become myself, With tears before You, my heart repents: I pray and weep, and weep and pray.

In Your love, O God, it's warm and safe, I am a nestling, unfledged and bare, Who in this life can do nothing alone— Abandon me, and I shall perish there.

Your love is sweetness, longed-for, true, There is nothing else like it anywhere, And I cry out: "Lord, hosanna high! Save me, have mercy, answer my prayer!"

In Your love I rise up toward the heavens, My feet lift free from earthly ground. Your love has become my sustenance, my bread— I cannot live without love's profound sound.

How I long to love You, my God, Even with the tiniest love in return, Your love no one in this world can comprehend, Its mysteries no earthly words discern.

Yet in generosity Your love pours out, And like a river flows within my soul, It grows and swells from God's own Word, To follow Christ—that is my goal.
