You Gave Such Miracle

Nina Tikhonina

You gave such miracle— To feel the Moment and Eternity. For what Judas wrought in betrayal, You did not destroy humanity.

In love with Your own Adam, You offer to all Your Holy Hand. Midst filth and lies and phantom— You suffered for us, our friend to stand.

You gave such happiness— Here on this earth to hold us holy. Not to be lost in sinful wilderness. You changed for us life's brevity

To Eternity. How can we repay? Mortals have neither gifts nor words of worth. We can only offer suffering's way— Crucifixion. Slaves' gift given on earth.

You gave Your teaching to the lost— So the world might be freed from hate. Yet generations bear the cost, In spirit's growth they stagnate.

And I among them—Adam and Judas both, Seeking, thirsting for the Kingdom's Light. I crawl... but I shall keep my oath, Though lost somewhere, I'll find the sight...

You gave me to be Your treasure found, Your pearl of great and precious price. Yet demons intoxicate all around, Like poison spread where evil's vice.

I'm sick of it, I thirst with all my might For Truth's own living, flowing spring. Let each of us be "Judas" in the night, But Lord, to You my soul I bring.
