Laughing now

Natalia Shevchenko

No one laughs at God in the hospital... No one laughs at Him in war, There, faith in the hearts begins to sparkle, And more often than not, prayers are heard in silence.

No one laughs at Him during a fire, And no one is laughing when there's a tornado, In case of hunger and underground shock The ridicule passes, the speech changes...

The arrogant mask suddenly flies off his face, When the plane starts to shake... No one will claim that God is a fairy tale; Having met a criminal on a narrow path...

No one will exclaim that faith is for fools, Having heard the doctor's fatal diagnosis... And with foam at the mouth, few will argue, When he meets the gaze of his executioner...

Mockery, spitting and stupid jokes They lose their relevance when You suddenly realize that there isn’t even a minute left. Call Jesus Christ into your life...

Car at speed... You're on the road... Here is a sharp cliff... Here is a stone temple... Here's a stray bullet, trouble is on the doorstep... From death and hell, you are a hair's breadth away...

How do you know, laughing now, What will happen to you at the forks of fate? It's easy to laugh as long as God gives you strength And humbly endures your fists.

It's easy to laugh at sinful thoughts... And under the approving gaze of drunken eyes, But God still waits, and the breath of life Leaves you, giving you a chance...

He is nearby, silent and full of mercy. But can He defend His name? He will just move away... and then with his word You could ruin yourself forever.
