Whiter than snow

Natalia Shevchenko

Her voice is unmistakable Her opinion is undeniable You can't make her shut up She always judges fairly.

You can't escape from her anywhere, Let your ears not hear it, She will have her say, and then You see everything with different eyes.

She is very strict, but modest. She does not dictate proudly, imperiously, Only she can say that Quiet, wise, distinct, clear.

You can’t tell her - keep quiet, speak up You can't bribe her with pearls, She always talks inside And leads on straight paths.

It is embedded in each of us, Her homeland is the kingdom of light, Her voice is the voice of the Creator, Her goal is to take us to heaven.

Conscience, you are the most precious gift! You are like litmus paper. How many times have you saved me From a sinful, stupid step...

How could I not appreciate you? And, burning, warm carnal lust? But God managed to put out the fire And save you, barely alive!

This is happiness, He was not late! Burnt and soot are not a hindrance to Him! He not only raised from the ashes, And he cleared it - whiter than snow.

You lead me, conscience, lead me, Well, if I try to turn around, Don't let me get lost on the way, I will hear you and I will correct myself.

Don't give me peace or sleep If I forget about you, Keep my soul from evil Guide me forever and everywhere.

Speak, always speak! Check all my thoughts. Keep my heart pure, To see Christ return.
