A Child's Song

Soslan Botyev

In heaven's vault the clouds dissolve and fade, Upon the earth a river flows its way: My Lord created all this grand parade By His great Word's command, to ever stay!

The sun has smiled upon our land, Its light spreads wide across the sand; It shines on flowers small and fair, On tall poplars everywhere.

How I do love this earthly sphere, Boundless, vast, and ever dear! God's miracles in all creation Stand before me, year by year.

For my Lord I burn with love, Grateful for what comes above! For all His works, in prayer I say With thanks: "I'm grateful for," I prove.
