To My Brother

Aleksandr Zaletsky

...and we fly. Ps. 89:10

Yes, we fly (Though we believe we walk), And this is real, not merely dreams, While at our backs—days, months, and years, And ash of what we've lived—upon our temples...

From our past life— Only memories remain; Traces of loss and error—marked upon our face... Yet in the heart—rejoicing! Joy of faith In eternal happiness, hidden in the Father!

For you today In your fifty-fifth year The Creator has granted to prolong your flight! And you fly on wings of grace, Which means the enemy cannot bring you harm!
