Elena Shustriakova

In the Christian world, and especially in her native city of St. Petersburg, Elena is well known as the author of many heartfelt poems published in the collections "Do Not Extinguish the Candle Within Yourself," "It's Me, Not Someone Else," "A Soul Without God is an Orphan." She has been the editor-in-chief of the interdenominational Christian magazine "From Heart to Heart" since 2011 and is the author of many materials in this publication. She takes an active part in the prison ministry of the "Open Doors" mission, and gives poetic performances in various churches in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The publishing house "Bible for All" has already released three collections of stories by this author for children. To this can be added that she was born on March 28, 1959, in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. She began writing poetry at the most inappropriate time from a human point of view – when her third child appeared in her family. "But it was then that the Lord touched my heart," says Elena. "I am grateful to the Lord for the blessings and trials, of which there were quite a few in my life, for in difficult moments the Lord was always near."
