Valery Marukhin was born in 1954 in Western Siberia, in the city of Omsk. He began writing poetry in 1981 after his conversion to the Lord. He has no formal education. He has not been published before. He currently resides in the state of California, USA. He is married, has 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
