Christmas

Vladymyr Sharykov

Christmas. Snow glitters bright. Silence. Only footsteps crack the white. God's mercy was immense and great, And therefore God is with us—at our gate!

To Christ drew near both poor and rich, All those whom life had touched or blessed. If you would have Him near—your wish— Keep your heart pure, keep it open, pressed.

To Christ will gather at the feast All those who drank the bitter cup. Christmas brings us peace at least, A tower strong that lifts us up.
