Hoist their sails upon the sea, Swift-sailed galleys cutting spray, Work their plywood sorcery— Aviettes in their day,

Tanks and cannons, ships arrayed Scatter wide across the land, Silver rockets, gleaming-made, Crawl from earth on every strand.

Thunder cracks, the night grows pale, Bloodred sphere outshines the sun! Cold rain falls without avail O'er the great realm, come undone…
