The Unexpected Bloom of Evil

Yuryi Sypko

I did not expect such a bloom of evil from our "peace-loving" homeland.

I truly did not expect it. It always seemed we stood for peace! For Angela Davis's freedom! We fought for Luis Corvalán's freedom. We demonstrated "Hands off Vietnam!" But what happened? It seemed they wanted to protect Russians, but instead they killed everyone—Russians and non-Russians alike.

A "Russian world" it claims to be, but somehow unusual...

For almost nine months they're destroying Ukraine.

They promised to bring freedom and prosperity. And here it is—please.

It brings horror! It brings death and destruction. Red drops—these are rockets sent today by Russian "liberators" onto the heads of Ukrainians. On peaceful cities. A mindless rocket—it explodes whether in a house or a hospital. It flies where it was sent and destroys all life. I'm in shock. The operation continues. Why? Have they decided to wipe all of Ukraine off the face of the earth?

"For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even to the priest, every one dealeth falsely. And they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord."

Jeremiah 6:13-15.
