God atoned for my guilt, delivered me

Yryna Karkhut

God atoned for my guilt, delivered me From the power of darkness, curse and death, And by grace I excluded from the rules Law's oath of everlasting mercy.

Not with corruptible silver, not with worn-out gold The Lamb delivered us from mortal life, The price is paid in Christ Crucified, From the slavery of blind vanity to the Fatherland.

My Redeemer lives! I know for sure! Only in Him is the hope of Sunday given, In a redeemed soul with a longing for paradise The source of inspiration will come to life again.
