He graduated from I.I. Mechnikov Odessa State University and completed his postgraduate studies at the Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He holds a PhD in Philology. He worked as a teacher and then as a principal in a comprehensive school. He also taught at the Christian Humanitarian and Economic University in Odessa. He currently directs the Center for Home (Family) and Alternative Education.
