Vera Bagina

She was born and raised in eastern Ukraine. After school, having received specialized education, she began working as an accountant. Once, an extraordinary event occurred in her life that became the beginning of her creative activity. She was offered a job as a nanny for a six-year-old boy. And Vera, despite her economic education, unexpectedly agreed. The child – named Vova – turned out to be lively and curious, constantly asking his nanny to tell him various stories and fairy tales. "When I ran out of all the stories I knew, I had to make up new ones on the spot," Vera recalls. "And when I started composing, I noticed that I myself was interested in what I was telling, especially considering that I had never engaged in writing before." Over time, Vera and Vova accumulated a whole collection of interesting stories and fairy tales. That's how a children's book was born.
