Lost Simply on the Road
Lost simply on the road I stand Between my words and deeds I've planned, Bewildered, frozen, helpless grown, Can't cross the border from word to done. Signs exist, my shoes fit tight, I have strength and will for flight. I know what's far and what rings true, Yet willpower fails me through and through. Again You push—I feel no shame, Again I take that first step's claim, After that I won't hesitate or pause, And will remember this lesson's cause.
