Believe
Believe, my brother, and take heart, Do not despair or lose your way, And all your earthly life impart To Jesus—Him alone obey. He is the Savior, the Redeemer, The only One in all this land, And He's the Master of each dreamer— So bow before His holy hand. Upon your thorny earthly road Keep faith in Christ within your heart, And in this world's resplendent code Honor the Creator's art. See how the lilies bloom and grow, See how the meadows dress in grace! All creatures feel God's gentle blow, All rest within His holy space. Yet when the lily fades away, When snow o'ercomes the verdant field, When all fragrance turns to gray, Then life's true purpose is revealed. Brother, tell me if you see— Will you not pause and understand That all—your very soul—could be Claimed by the Holy One's command?
