That what is beyond our strength— To know all the wisdom of the Lord And not penetrate the creative Mystery of His depth, Shall not serve as a foundation For justifications, so fashionable now, About our idleness, Having ended war with evil. There are many things That we are able to influence. So with fervent zeal Let us use our right. But there, where in struggle We suffer loss through thoughtlessness, Let us yield victory To the Holy hands of the Lord. The Creator does not wait For us to comprehend all His deeds Within the span of decades Of some years we have lived. He awaits cooperation And mutual interaction, So that from the slavery of sin He may save the afflicted world.
