Moments of the Eternal

Thought to thought and word to word, Like beads I string them once again. Yet I am powerless to portray The sky's most beautiful smile, The pure tear-petal at dawn, The evening star's trembling, mournful song, The thirst of rays that blaze at zenith— Though these are but eternal moments. Moments sublime that stir the heart, In mysteries immeasurably boundless, Wondrous risen, as the world's foundation, From the Creator's thought, by His Holy word. With reason I do not attempt their grasp— To heaven I answer with a quiet smile... Thought by thought I gather drop by drop And pour into words—thanksgiving and praise.
