Lydia Woodwood

We are becoming stingy with gentle words. What, one would think, is the word vain? That is the balm of our souls, and the soul is alive, I feel such a gentle welcome. Lydia Woodwood was born in Volina. I have been spluttering poetry since childhood. After graduating from the Lutsk Pedagogical College and the Vinnytsia Pedagogical Institute, I worked for an hour at the same institute at the Department of Pedagogy. Having come to know God, she became a member of the Church of Christians of the Evangelical Faith. She was a teacher at a week-long school and a potter at a youth ministry. I dedicate my poetic works to the One who gave life and salvation, glorifying His greatness and love. In 2007, she worked in the editorial office of the Christian magazine “Blagovisnik” and the newspaper “Voice of Hope”. Lydia Woodwood's verses have contributed more than once to the magazines “Evangelical Voice” and “Christian Newsletter” (Canada), and poetic almanacs. Vaughn is a member of the congregation of Christian writers of Ukraine. In 2017, a collection of poetry, “The Wine of Love,” was published in Lutsk, and in 2022, “Vichne Dzherelo.” Lydia Woodwood lives in the town of Vishgorod, serving her poetic gift in the church and social settings.
