Flight

Aleksandr Savelyev

From Your face I'm running away, I cannot live this way. Your world is beautiful and good, But I am not worthy as I should.

I've broken all that I could break, Corrupted through and through, awake. You forgave me, yet I flee— I cannot forgive myself, you see.

I run and know that You will wait, Yet I have nowhere to escape, Only You can love like this— Forgive both Judas and Peter's kiss.

O Lord, to You I run, This is all that I can do— Save me from eternal fire, Have mercy on this sinner's desire.
