Tatiana Moroz

Tatiana Moroz was born in the city of Cherkasy in Ukraine. At the age of 18, in 1985, after finishing school, she moved to Kyiv and got married. In 1994, with her husband Gregory and two small sons, Andrei and Timothy, they moved to Albany, New York, USA. Before that, they worked in Ukraine at the “Word of Life” Mission (Word of Life International). In the USA, a daughter was born. She graduated from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary sciences: management information systems and religion. Since 2003, she has been working as a database administrator in the main financial office of New York State, Office of the State Comptroller (New York State Office of the Office of State Comptroller). In 2003, her husband was diagnosed with brain cancer, and in 2005 he passed into eternity. The children have grown up and started their own families. Now Tatiana has 3 sons and 3 daughters (thanks to their marriages), 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, and a 3rd granddaughter – adopted. Both sons are pastors, and her son-in-law is a police officer.

Tatiana loved poetry since childhood. She learned, recited from memory, and participated in school competitions for the best reciter. She wrote a little in her youth. But those early poems have not been preserved. Left a widow at 39, after her husband passed into eternity, she found comfort in poetry, and “…versification became my breath,” she would say later. And now – she participates in competitions on the literary site Stihi.ru. She has been an annual nominee for the literary awards “Poet of the Year,” starting from 2014. She was nominated for “Poet of the Year 2020.” She has been published in the newspaper “Our Days,” in the magazines “Light of the Gospel,” “Faith and Life,” in the almanac “City of Maria 240,” as well as on social networks Facebook and Instagram.
