Rodyon Berezov

Rodion Mikhailovich Berezov (born Akulshin; April 8, 1896 – June 25, 1988) was a Russian poet, prose writer, playwright, and children’s author, known for his “village prose.” After studying at the Bryusov Literary Institute, he published over 40 works in the USSR before being captured in 1941 and later emigrating to the U.S. There, he became a Baptist, authored around 30 Christian books and poetry collections, and participated actively in church life in Los Angeles. He died in Ashford, Connecticut, in 1988.
