Mykhayl Loktev

In 1972, in a suburb of San Francisco, in fellowship with American brothers, the Lord laid it on the hearts of Pastor A. Efimov and Dr. K. Romanov to found a Radio Mission. They called it “Word to Russia.” Practically from the first days, Mikhail Danilovich Loktev participated in the ministry of the Mission. Initially as a volunteer, and from 1979, he headed the Mission and was its permanent leader until his transition to eternity in January 2022. It is a great honor for us to pay tribute to the memory of this bright person, who left an indelible mark in the hearts of all who had the opportunity to communicate with him. “Unfathomable are the ways of the Lord” – we read in Scripture. Often this is incomprehensible at the beginning of the ways, and upon their completion, we repeat together with King David: “The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.” We find something similar in the creative heritage of Brother Mikhail – in his book “River of Faith.” Passing through his experiences, doubts, difficult decisions, ups and downs together with the author, we see in the finale a beautiful mosaic composed of God’s Providence, which led the entire Loktev family through many trials.
