Leontiy Zhidkov

Leontiy Mikhailovich Zhidkov was born in the city of Mineralnye Vody, in the Stavropol region. He also studied at school there. In 1974, he got married and moved to Pyatigorsk with his family. From 1988 to the present day, he lives in Ulyanovsk, on the Volga. For a long time, he worked at the aircraft factory “AVIASTAR,” in the signaling and communications shop. More than ten years retired. He graduated from Simbirsk Missionary College, Bachelor of Missiology. He often preaches in local evangelical churches. Participant in Lermontov poetry festivals, his poems have been published in almanacs and collective collections. He began writing poetry early, at 13-14 years old. At the same time, his first author’s collection was published only in 2013 in Germany, the next one five years later in Ukraine, and now the third book is being prepared for publication.
