Nina Tikhonina

Nina Tikhonina (maiden name Savisko) was born in Ukraine, but from the age of one month lived in the Caucasus, in the city of Sukhumi. In 1974, she got married, had children, and was fully engaged in family affairs. From childhood, she loved poetry very much, but only after the age of fifty did she risk writing poems. This creative impulse coincided with moving to America, to the city of Sacramento, where Nina lives to this day and continues to delight with her poems.
