Olesya Perepelkina

I was born in a simple working-class family in the beautiful green city of Vinnytsia, which remains my small homeland to this day. I heard about God from early childhood from my grandmother, asked her questions, but she could tell me little, as she did not have a Bible.

These were times of atheism. Once, answering the teacher’s question about spring holidays, I talked about Easter. And I was ridiculed by the whole class. I came to faith at a young age. I worked as a teacher-organizer. Sometimes believers came to school and gave lectures about God.

That’s how I got a small blue booklet “New Testament” and a brochure “4 Spiritual Laws.” After reading the brochure with great interest, I sincerely and wholeheartedly turned to Jesus with the words of the prayer written on the last page. A few years later, God, through His amazing ways, led me to His family – an evangelical church, in which we live and serve to this day with my husband and two sons.

I wrote poems since childhood, and when I came to faith, I began to write about Jesus and for Jesus. The dream and prayer request of many years was to publish poems – “to cast my bread upon the waters,” so that what God gave me could serve others for encouragement and drawing closer to God. Through the almanac publishing house, God is doing this, to my joy and to the glory of the Lord!
